generosity from unexpected places

So today I went to get my hair cut. And I was telling the stylist about what I'm doing next year...interning with the J Flick and about how it's nonprofit and we have to raise support and stuff. She was like, "wow that's so cool" and she was telling me about some kids she works with that really need Jesus and stuff at this military boot camp thing in Rantoul and how some Cru people had given her a track a month or so ago (I think it was Audrey). Anyways when I went up to the counter to pay, she was like "there will be no charge. it's on the owner" and I'm like "what? why?" and she just said "well I think it's really neat what you're doing next year with the J-flick". So bam free hair cut. It was just cool to see generosity like that from a place you'd least expect it. I think I'm going to like raising support.

On a personal note

Howdy folks.

I hope everyone is doing great. I am on my Spring Break '06 and it's been really good so far. Getting to speak at Cru last night was a blast, and although I mispoke when I said I would be making 950 dollars a week (as opposed to month!) I still felt that I had a good message and I hope and pray the younger folks in the movement took it to heart.

I'm looking forward to support raising. I can't wait to be done student teaching and then I can go and start meeting me future partners in ministry - it will be so awesome to see how the Lord brings in the money that I am going to trust Him for.

I'm just all around pretty excited to be alive right now. This school year was one of the best and worst of my life all at the same time, and I'm looking forward to taking the next year of my life to be on my own (in that I'm away from the parents financially), serve the Lord, and grow while I consider which career path I'll actually take.

I think it's going to be awesome.
